What we get from Google

When you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, your email address and your Google account ID. We use them solely to log you in and to know which links are yours. We don't get your password, contacts, or anything else in your Google account.

What we store

Your account: name, email, Google account ID, role, and the gallery handle you pick.
Your links: the short name, where it points, and the options you set.
Aggregate click stats per link: totals per day, plus country, city, device type, browser and referring website domain. These are counts only. We don't keep a log of individual visitors.
We never store visitors' IP addresses. For rate limiting we keep only salted, one-way hashes of them, which expire.
If you make an API token, we store only a hash of it, not the token itself.

What we don't do

No ads, no tracking pixels, no analytics companies.
We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone.

Link safety

To keep people safe, link destinations are checked with Google Safe Browsing. That check sends the destination URL (not anything about you) to Google.

Where it lives

The site and its data are hosted on Netlify.

Deleting your data

You can delete your links any time in the app, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it at any time by emailing jamal@stupidlink.com.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
